Partnerships
Local Weekend Journal considers carefully chosen collaborations and clearly labelled partner placements that fit our interest in neighbourhoods and local place. Get in touch through the Contact page with the idea and the organisation or work involved.
Suitable collaborations
We consider projects connected to neighbourhood character, shared spaces, local place and the experience of noticing the places around us. A proposal should have a clear reader benefit and a natural fit with the publication, rather than relying on broad promotional claims.
Partner placements
We accept selected placements across the site when their subject fits our coverage and their wording can be made clear to readers. Placement does not amount to editorial endorsement, and material that is paid for or supplied by a partner is labelled accordingly.
How to propose an idea
Use the Contact page to explain the proposed format, subject, intended audience and any commercial relationship. We review each proposal for fit and clarity; sending an idea does not guarantee acceptance or publication.
A place is more than its map
We believe the best way to get to know a neighbourhood is to pay attention to the details: where people pause, what gets a name, and how shared places are used.
